January 11 - 13, 2008 we had this display at the Cape and
Islands Orchid Society show in North Falmouth, MA.
This Angraecum eburnium displayed by NHOS member Chuck Crisler
won two of the trophies! Congratulations to Chuck for bringing home the
Monika and Bill Wildman Award for Best Vandaceous Alliance and the Eleanor and
Richard Phillips Award for the Best Species.
NHOS member Marty Epstein also won a trophy for this Clowesia
Rebecca Northern. This beautiful plant won the Todd Drummey Award for Best
Miniature Orchid.
We were also very happy to have one of Marty's plants receive
an AOS award. Cattleya candida 'Marcia' (which is synonymous to C.
quadricolor) AM/AOS, 80 points. Thanks to Marty, Chuck and all the NHOS
members who donated their blooming plants for our display.
