We set up a display at the Deerfield Fair in Deerfield, NH from
Thursday Sept. 26 thru Sunday September 29, 2002. There is no judging available for our display, but it is an
excellent opportunity to represent our society at this New Hampshire event.
Brochures were available for those who wanted to learn more about the orchid
society.

On September 14, 2002 our monthly meeting also served as our
annual picnic. Our
hosts this year were Ron and Sandra Midgett, owners of New England Orchid
Company.

Our second "orchid caravan" of the year was a road trip to
member Chuck Crisler's house. After our June meeting we gathered to get
directions and organize car pools to see how another member grows his orchids.
Chuck designed and built this greenhouse on his own.

Our first "orchid caravan" of 2002 was a walk through
the Ponemah Bog in Amherst, New Hampshire. The weather was perfect, and we
were treated to some wonderful sights before heading to our May meeting.
