If you are ever in the area, please stop for a moment to remember Dave, sit on the bench, and enjoy the view of the spectacular waterfall. It is located in a roadside park 1/4 mile north on Carter Notch Road, which is just north of the Jackson Community Church on Rt. 16A in the center of Jackson Village, New Hampshire.
We had another beautiful day for our 2005 society picnic. The annual picnic is always a fun and informal monthly meeting. It provides our members an opportunity to relax and enjoy the day while talking about.... orchids of course!
On April 23 and 24, 2005 we once again participated at the Amherst Orchid Society show and sale in Northampton, MA. Our display took a first place ribbon, and we were awarded 13 ribbons as well as the an award for Joanne McHale's "Best Small Phalaenopsis" Phal. (amabilis x (Coral Nosa x equestris)) 'Sweet'.
Our 2005 show 'Orchid Magic' was held on February 18 - 20 and was once again at the Crowne Plaza in Nashua, NH. The AOS judges were said to be impressed with the orchids on display at our show, and six plants were recognized as worthy of AOS awards.
On January 28 - 30, 2005 the New Hampshire Orchid Society once again participated in the Cape & Islands Orchid Society orchid show at the Sea Crest Resort and Conference Center in North Falmouth Massachusetts. |
