AOS Judging

Judges from the American Orchid Society will decide if any plants from our show qualify for AOS awards.
Orchid judging is open to the public.


10:30 a.m.

"Ask The Expert" - a Panel of growers and vendors for a relaxed round table of questions and answers to help you grow better orchids.


Dividing and repotting of a few over grown plants. Andrea will be cutting up some pretty large plants and making divisions to share with the member coop available for sale to the general public after this program. Proceeds to benefit NHOS Conservation/Education. Come watch and take your own division home.

1:30 p.m.

"New England's Endangered Lady's Slipper Orchids" An overview of the Scientific Work on our most beautiful Native orchids and how to grow them in your garden.

Presented by Dr. Peter Taletra & Katherine Duan from the Academy of Science.

3 p.m.

Orchid Pest and Diseases, Discussion of what to do when your plants get attacked by bugs or fungus presented by Daryl Yerdon of Kelley's Korner Orchid Supplies 


11:00 a.m.

"Orchid Terrariums" - Members of NHOS show examples of many types of terrariums and talk about how to grow orchids in them.

Presented by members of New Hampshire Orchid Society

12:30 p.m.

"Orchids of the Northeast United States & Canada" - The Presentation will focus on both the beautiful common and rare species of out area - with an emphasis on conservation and cultivation.

Presented by NHOS member George Newman

2 p.m.

"How to Grow Paphiopedilums" - A talk on growing and repotting Paphs, with a demonstration showing how to divide and repot this popular orchid.
