Monthly Meeting - Annual Picnic and Silent Auction

  • August 09, 2014
  • 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • 87 Babb Meadow Lane, Mason, NH
Our August meeting will be our annual society picnic. We will have a show table so bring your blooming orchids. Our picnic this year will be at the home of Ann Chepjian at 87 Babb Meadow Lane, Mason, NH.

Please bring appetizers, salads, side dishes and dessert. NHOS will supply the hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken.

We will also be holding a members' silent auction. If you would like to sell some plants with 20% of the sales going to the society, please email auction@nhorchids.org with a list of your plants and, if possible, photos of the flowers.

Updated directions to Ann Chepjian's:

From Manchester take 101 West to 13 South to Brookline.  At the intersection of Rt. 13 S and Mason Road there is a flashing yellow light. Turn right onto Mason Road.

From Nashua take Rt. 130 West to Brookline.  After the Brookline Village Store and the church (both are on your right) bear left at the fork toward Mason.  Continue straight ahead.  At the intersection with Rt. 13 there is a flashing red light. Cross Rt. 13 onto Mason Rd.

Once you are on Mason Road, continue 2.1 miles to Mason.  After you pass Pigeon Hill Rd. on your right you will see a small airport on the right.  Babb Meadow Lane is the first paved road on the right after the airport. Turn right onto Babb Meadow Lane. We are the 2nd driveway on the right. Our house has a red metal roof.

It is best to park along both sides of Babb Meadow Lane. Please do not block driveways. Babb Meadow Lane is a short street and at the end the final driveway looks like an extension of the street, but it isn’t, and the residents there get upset if people drive into their driveway.

Please also bear in mind that the properties on Babb Meadow Lane and Pigeon Hill Rd. abut an airport that has an active runway (especially on weekends). Several driveways also serve as taxiways, so if one is not careful,  it’s possible to inadvertently drive onto the runway.
